Coach Terms
These Coach Terms ("Coach Terms") are an agreement between RRM DEVCORE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES ("we", "Dink Play") and the individual who offers pickleball coaching through the Platform (the "Coach", "you"). They apply together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cancellation and Refund Policy. You accept them electronically (Electronic Commerce Act, Republic Act No. 8792) when you apply.
1. Relationship — you are not our employee
You are an independent professional. You are not our employee, worker, agent or partner, and nothing here creates an employment relationship. You decide whether, when and where you coach, how you run each session, and which bookings you accept, within these Coach Terms. We do not control the manner or method of your coaching, provide your equipment, pay you a salary or benefits, or assign you work. You are responsible for your own tools, insurance, contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and taxes. If the law or a competent authority were to characterise the relationship differently, the parties will cooperate to put it on a lawful footing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, legally able to contract, and able to lawfully work in the Philippines. You must have genuine pickleball playing and/or coaching experience for the levels you offer, and hold any certification you claim. We may decline or withdraw approval where we cannot verify you, where there is a safety or conduct concern, or for breach of these Coach Terms.
3. Identity verification (required)
- You must complete identity verification before you can accept paid bookings. You must provide at least one valid government-issued ID (for example Philippine National ID, passport, driver's licence, UMID, PRC ID, postal ID where applicable, or another valid government ID), a clear profile photo, your legal name, date of birth, address and contact details.
- Our review has stages: Pending verification → Under review → Verified or Rejected. If rejected, we tell you why and you may resubmit corrected documents.
- You confirm all documents are genuine, belong to you and are not expired. Submitting a false or altered document is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to the authorities.
- Your ID is sensitive personal information. We process it only as described in our Privacy Policy (private storage, restricted administrators, access logging, deletion after the retention period), on the basis of your explicit consent, which you may withdraw (though we then cannot keep you verified).
- Verification confirms identity only. It is not an endorsement of your skill, qualifications or conduct, and we will not describe it as one. We may re-verify you at any time, and we may show your verification status ("Verified") on your profile.
4. Accurate profile and qualifications
Your profile — photo, biography, coaching and playing experience, specialisations, levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), private/group formats, rates, availability and service areas — must be accurate and not misleading. Do not claim a qualification, certification, ranking, title, affiliation or result you do not have. You must keep your profile current and tell us if a qualification lapses. Misleading claims are deceptive acts under the Consumer Act (Republic Act No. 7394) and may result in removal.
5. Coaching services
You will deliver each booked session with reasonable skill and care, on time, at the agreed location and for the booked duration, using safe and appropriate methods for the player's level, age and fitness, and following the venue's rules. Court time is not included in your rate unless you say so in your profile; the player books the court separately (or you tell them where it will be held and who pays). You must not discriminate, and you must tailor sessions for beginners safely.
6. Pricing and availability
- You set your rates (per session or per hour; private and group) and your availability. The price you list is the price the player pays for your coaching. Platform commission is charged separately and never reduces the rate you listed (see section 9).
- Keep your calendar accurate. Once a booking is confirmed, you must honour it.
7. Cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows
- The Cancellation and Refund Policy shown to the player at booking governs refunds; its windows and percentages are configured in the platform, not fixed in these terms.
- If you cancel, you must give as much notice as possible and the player is refunded as the policy provides (by default in full, or may reschedule). Repeated or last-minute cancellations by you may lead to a warning, reduced visibility or suspension, and you will not be paid for a session you did not deliver.
- If a player does not show or arrives late, the policy decides what is kept. Wait the grace period shown in the policy and record the no-show promptly.
- Rescheduling is allowed where the policy permits and your calendar allows; the player and you will be notified.
8. Customer safety and professional conduct
You must put player safety first: check the court and equipment, adapt drills to fitness and age, stop play if there is a risk, and know the nearest first-aid and emergency steps. You must act professionally and respectfully: no harassment, abuse, discrimination or inappropriate contact, including conduct prohibited by the Safe Spaces Act (Republic Act No. 11313). If you coach anyone under 18, you must follow child-protection standards (Republic Act No. 7610), only with parent/guardian consent and, where practicable, with a parent or guardian present or in open view. You must not coach under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Report any injury or serious incident to us promptly. We strongly recommend professional liability and accident insurance suitable for coaching.
9. Commission, payments and payouts
- We charge a commission on coaching bookings made through the Platform. The rate, whether it is a percentage or fixed, and who bears it (deducted from your payout, added as a service fee for the player, or split) are configured by us in the platform and may differ by player membership status, booking type (private or group), your subscription tier and location. Members of Dink Play may pay a lower commission rate; this does not change your listed rate. The terms for each booking are saved when it is made and shown in your earnings statement; later changes apply only to future bookings, on at least fifteen (15) days' notice.
- Players pay through the Platform. You may not ask a player who booked through the Platform to pay you directly for that session to avoid commission.
- Payouts are prepared for completed sessions on the schedule shown in your coach portal (by default weekly), net of commission, any processing fee assigned to you and refunds/reversals you are responsible for, and paid to the account you gave us.
- We may hold or reverse a payout while we investigate fraud, a dispute or a chargeback.
10. Reviews
Players who completed a session may rate and review you. You may not pay for, trade, solicit false reviews, threaten or retaliate against reviewers. You may respond professionally. We remove reviews that breach our content rules; we do not remove honest negative reviews.
11. Taxes
You are responsible for registering with the BIR where required, for your income tax, VAT or percentage tax, and for issuing official receipts or invoices for your services. We will issue the documents required of us for our commission. Where the law requires us, as an online marketplace operator or payment facilitator, to withhold or report taxes on amounts we pay you, we will do so and show it in your statements.
12. Liability and disputes
You are responsible for your acts and omissions while coaching, including injury caused by your negligence, and agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Coach Terms, your conduct or your violation of law, to the extent permitted by law. We do not insure you. Our liability to you is limited to amounts owing to you under section 9, except for fraud, wilful misconduct or anything that cannot be limited under Philippine law. Complaints are first handled by us (see the Terms and Conditions); you agree to cooperate with reasonable inquiries.
13. Prohibited behaviour
Impersonation; false documents or credentials; harassment or abuse; unsafe coaching; taking players off-platform to avoid commission; manipulating reviews; sharing a player's data for any purpose other than delivering the session; collecting payments for services you will not deliver; using the Platform unlawfully.
14. Fraud, suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account, cancel upcoming sessions (with refunds), withhold payouts pending investigation and report suspected crimes where we reasonably suspect fraud, false credentials, safety risk, serious or repeated complaints, or breach. You may stop at any time by giving thirty (30) days' notice, after honouring existing bookings. We may end this agreement on thirty (30) days' notice, or immediately for serious breach. Your ID documents are deleted per the Privacy Policy on termination.
15. Changes, governing law and disputes
We will notify you of material changes; they apply to bookings made after the change date. These Coach Terms are governed by Philippine law. The parties will first try to settle disputes amicably and by mediation (RA 9285); failing that, the proper courts of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila have jurisdiction.
